We recognise that seeking medical care can be stressful and we aim to put you at ease every step of the way. At your first appointment we want to provide you with ample opportunity to get to know Dr Dusseldorp, and for him to get to know you. As such, your first appointment may be a long one, lasting up to an hour. Note that Dr Dusseldorp also offers Telehealth appointments. Medicare rebates apply to Telehealth appointments in some situations.
Dr Dusseldorp will ask you questions about your condition, your symptoms and other relevant factors so he can suggest solutions most suited to your needs. He will examine you and may take clinical photos, which we will keep securely attached to your digital medical record. Finally he will explain all the options available for your care and spend time discussing those with you, answering your questions, and helping you to select the options most suitable for you. Above all he wants to ensure you have all the information you need to feel comfortable moving forward with treatment or going home to consider your options.
For more complex conditions it may be preferable to return for a secondary appointment before proceeding with a procedure. Our goal is for you to feel completely comfortable about your treatment decision.
